Last month Michael Barber presented a webinar on Facebook Connect. This is a collection of tools that allows Facebook users to share information from third party websites on Facebook. For example, Facebook users can share comments made on a popular news story with their friends on Facebook. Connect allows them to do so without ever leaving the news publisher’s site. The benefit to Facebook users is that they can share content with friends and make new friends in the process. Publishers benefit by empowering a piece of their audience to share and promote content to a larger audience via Facebook.
